-What was the basic "story" of the piece? What was the beginning, middle (including conflict), and end of the piece?
the story was of a guy who woke up and went to the wash room to brush his teeth. then he walked into the kitchen and cooked breakfast but sadly this mosquito started bugging hime and he got angrier by the minute. he tries to take the mosquito down but the insect instead starts annoying the guy later the guy gives up and cries.
-What specific choices did the performer include in his performance to communicate:
--Who he was?
he was a sleepy man walking through his house.
--Where he was?
he was in a two story kind of like a cottage.
--When it was?
it was at the morning when he woke up and was preparing for the day.
--What he was doing?
he was first brushing his teeth and then making his breakfast and eventually ended up going after a MOSQUITO.
--Why he was doing it?
He was making breakfast because people where coming over.
-What specific skills from the "How to Be a Mime" Youtube Playlist can you identify within this piece? Can you "chart" the story structure by listing the specific skills the Mime used in each part?
the guy was using a lot of steps that the how to be mime playlist had like lifting, opening the door or using a object and others. the guy made the whole story structure very clear for ME to understand but i think that people from 1-8 would not understand anything about this kind of performance.
-Using what you know about specific Mime techniques (Michael Lee) and movements (isolations, skills, etc.) how would you "rate" this Mime in terms of overall technique? Use Criteria B descriptors and be sure to use specific vocabulary to justify your choices.
5-6 because even though it was quite clear he was trying his best it wasn't that good or funny.i personally think that he should have used more funny moves i his video and have something like a twist in it so it wouldn't be boring as much as it was.
-How do the technical elements (lighting, costuming, sound effects & music) add to the Mime's performance? Do you think the elements HELP tell the story? Why and how?
i think the technical elements should have helped but it really did not. except for the lighting which showed his features correctly. his clothe looked out of place, i know that what he wore is the traditional costumes for mime, but i have seen some other videos and i believe that proper clothes makes their story more believable. sound effects were also good as well.
-Finally, identify specific W-O-W moments within the piece (Wow - Wonder - Wish)
---What was really a "WOW" moment for you (surprised or entertained you)
the part where he showed that he burned his tongue by drinking hot coffee or tea, i really loved what he did with his tongue.
---What do you "wonder" about the performance or question you still need answered/clarified.
i am Stil not sure about the ending did he give up or he just got frustrated.
---If you were the director of the piece, what is one item you "WISH" you could change?
