Melodrama and Modern Mime are two different types of drama they both also have some similarities.melodrama is a genre where people use extra facial expressions to express a feeling and the actors can Project and Articulate as well where in the modern mime the performers cannot use any words to express their feeling and that makes them unable to break the 4th wall but they can use hand gestures and body movement to communicate with their audience . Usually melodrama is all about love stories or good winning over evil and it has 6-7 characters maximum but mime is more about entertaining the audience with its unusual genre and the performers flexibility with their body and modern mime has 4-5 characters on stage at a time.these types are pretty similar since they both allow the actors to move the body and use all the other elements of a drama theatre(props, light and sets) but they are also different since they both have different way entreating and communicating with the audiance.I think Modern Mime and Melodrama is more similar to each othe
Melodrama is a type of drama/genre that is best known for it's use of extra emotions and hand gestures. it started in the 19th century and kept going on . Melodrama has 6 main characters which is the hero, heroine, old parents, villain ,sidekick and a servant. the performers give their best and break the 4th wall to communicate with the audience think since melodrama allowed the performer to use all the parts of their body it is better than modern mime in terms of communicating with the audience.
Modern Mime is an art where the caters express their emotions and saying through expression and gestures it is quite tough but it is sometimes very entertaining.Jean Gaspard is the creator of modern mime drama which started in 1947.it is originated by the Ancient Greeks and Romans.i think that modern mime is a entertaining way of drama and it should be continued in some theatre.
